'Dull Ache' is a indie top-down RPG game created by 'PurpleInsomnia Games', (mostly) revolving around a young couple and a horrifying spiral of events that they get roped into.
As of writing (June 8th, 2026), Three of Seven chapters have been completely written, some chapters might release two at a time, as it'd feel be pretty evil to leave an audience hanging after a cool cliffhanger.
As 'Dull Ache' is a psychological-horror game, the game will cover, mention and/or show sensitive subjects such as:
- Suicide
- Self Harm
- Abuse
- Gorey Imagery
- Mentions of Sexual Violence
- Drug Addiction & Overdosing
If you are sensitive to any of these topics listed, there will be an option to be warned in game before hand, with an option to skip the scene in question.
There may also be like... two jumpscares cause they're kinda corny, so there will be an option to remove those as well if you wish.

While 'Dull Ache' might be free-to-play (...for the time being, at least), it still costs a bit of time and money to develop.
If you can, you should totally support PurpleInsomnia on Kofi! Simply just supporting could bring some pretty shweet 'Dull Ache' merchandise, funded independently, and designed in-house or maybe by a lucky fan!
